Fishing in the Dark...

Here he is... My fisher-MAN! If any of you have ever wanted to learn how to fish, this is the man that you need to learn from! He is quite the fisherman! Walking around in the water with his shoes on... putting worms on my pole while casting his pole. Making sure no bugs were getting the best of me! But that is nothing compared to the way he fly fishes! He has quite the knack for fishing!
Rick and I went fishing a week or two ago, not once my friends but yes twice. We would have gone three times in one week but we had family adventures that were calling our name (those pictures are to come).
Here is Handsome Rick, my fisher-MAN, just doing what he loves and does so well! You can tell from the look on his face, he is serious about fishing!

Here he is again this time, he thinks he may have something on the line of my fishing pole...

Here I am taking over the reins, trying to see if I will have better luck. I was getting eaten alive by mesquitos, so of course rick lent me his long sleeved shirt to wear.

Here I am still fishing, even though it is getting dark we can not be stopped! We just want to catch a fish!

We actually didn't catch any fish, but we had such a great time together! Hopefully this week the fishing we be liking us a little more. Here we are, just before deciding maybe we should take a raincheck on those fish... it was getting a little bit too dark to be sticking around much longer! But of course we had time to pose for the camera!

More than once!

Summer...

Hello Friends!!! I am alive! I thought I should share what's happening in my life instead of just reading about yours. Here are a few pictures of what the summer has brought so far!

It all started with a family camping "reunion" at the Heber Valley girls camp! It was so much fun! We were only there for one night. We got to sleep in these nice cabins, there was a kitchen to cook in outside with a closed pantry for all of our food, hot showers and flushing toilets (now that is my kind of camping).

We all went out on the paddle boats, then it started to down pour! We were all sopping wet afterwards!

We did a ropes course where we got to climb 35 feet in the air and then go down the zipline! I think that was everyones favorite part! Even Zack, who is now 10 climbed it. He was a little scared, but he made it (he never looked down).

Rick and I headed down to St. George for one weekend. We played a mean game of soccer in our front yard, the usual play when we go. Then we played basketball. We were so hot afterwards my brothers got out their brand new slippin slides and wanted us to try them out. If you haven't been on a slippin slide for a while here is a little word to the wise... the ground is not as soft as you remember it being when you were a kid. Just remember that next time you go slippin sliding.

Here is Rick and I, on our way to see the play Footloose out at Tuachuan! It was SO good and so much fun! We really enjoyed it.

And of course we had to go and get something to eat with the family before the play. So we squished in this booth and ate at 24 Main! We always have a great time when we go to St. George!

And how could we even call it Summer without some enjoyment of the beautiful cache valley? We went up Logan canyon to a Yurt (it's like a big Tipee cabin). It was awesome, so beautiful! This is a picture of the meadow that we found off a trail from the cabin, it was so beautiful! These pictures really don't do it any justice!

Here is Rick, the most handsome, best, wonderful guy I know...

That is a little snipit of what the summer has brought so far! But much more exciting things are to come!!
